Goodleigh got crafty…and Christmassy!

One of our favourite events in the calendar are the regular craft evenings that we invite the whole village to.

Full of fun, laughter, food and craft – everyone that comes along has a brilliant time meeting new people and learning a new skill. This years Christmas craft evening was no different!

We made two different Christmas decorations and were lucky enough to be guided by two crafty experts. The first was a set of two CUTE reindeer made from corks and pipe cleaners…and the second were a pair of BEAUTIFUL Christmas ornaments to hang from the tree made from delicate lace and colourful beads.

As always there was an amazing selection of nibbles and a room FULL of people enjoying themselves.

If you think this sounds like something you would enjoy, keep your eyes peeled for the next time – looking forward to seeing you there!

Ooh I feel all Christmassy now!!!

Blimey…Goodleigh does have talent!!

What a night!!!

There was an amazing turn out to the informal music concert yesterday evening. Around 60 people enjoyed an evening of music, food, cocktails and fun!

We had an inkling that there was lots of talent in and around the village…but it turns out its packed full of the stuff!

Chopin met Chuck Berry, beautiful violin playing followed the wonderful vocals of a West End singer and Louis Armstrong himself would have been blown away by the Jazz pieces!!

I think it is safe to say the evening was a HUGE success, with £650 being raised to help with the (much needed) repairs to the church building.

Thank you to those who organised it and did the food and drinks for the night, thank you to the wonderful musicians and thank you, THANK YOU, to those of you who attended. Your support means the world to us and we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did (which is A LOT!)

Harvest Festival – 7th October 2018

Everyone is welcome to join us for our Harvest service to thank God for the food grown in the local area (and further afield!!)

The service starts at 11am at Goodleigh United Church and will be followed by a bring and share lunch in the village hall.

It is always a wonderful service and a great way to celebrate and give thanks for this years harvest!
